New York City
With trying to balance school and keeping up with my outfit posts (which I'm still pretty behind lol) I never really gotten the chance to talk about my trip to NYC this summer. You probably don't even care but whatever, I'm still gonna share.
If you read my post about Manhattan, you'll know that I actually travelled to NYC quite often the past year but only for the weekends which means I didn't really get to explore THAT much of it. But this time, I spent a whole week in NYC, and let me tell you how much I freakin ate there. I still remember that one day when I went to Chelsea Market and I had 3 slices of pizza, gelato and two boxes of sushi in a span of 2 hours lmao. Yes, I am indeed a fat ass. They don't call me @foodie_joycee for nothing (; (shameless foodstagram plugin). You might think: Don't you ever get sick of going to NYC? The answer is hells no. NYC is so huge and I've only explored probably like 1/10 of the city. I seriously need a good month there to cover most of the city.
Some of the places I went: The MET, central park, Greenwich Village, Wall street, Dumbo, lower Manhattan, Washington Square park. Rockefeller building. Although I've been to the skyscrapers before it was still nice to relive the moment with different people ya feel?
Highlight of my trip was going to The MET. The Manus x China fashion exhibit was breathless. All the couture dresses from all the famous brands...I honestly felt like I died and went to couture heaven. All their garments were so detailed, I could literally stay in there forever and admire each and every one of them.
Out of all the times I've travelled to NYC, this trip was by far the most significant one. Due to personal reasons, this trip really meant a lot to me. Not trying to sound deep or anything but I really needed this trip to redeem myself you can say? It was also very nice to be able to experience this with my mom since she's never really "seen" NYC.Can't wait to back in the future.
