7 Must Visit Cafés in Guang Zhou, China
After being on hiatus for a year I think it’s time to revive my site. The year 2020 was the first year in a long time that I haven’t been on any trips, and for someone who travelled frequently, it felt like a part of me was missing. Looking back at my travel photos, I came across the café shops I visited when I was in Guang Zhou, China back in Dec. 2019. That year made me realize that there were so many cool café shops in Guang Zhou (way better than the ones in Toronto in my opinion). Nevertheless, if you get the chance to visit Guang Zhou, you must pay these places a visit!
Timetable Coffee: 中山大道中天银行大厦26F
Located in a financial building, the patio had the perfect view of the city, super nice a place to watch the sunset!
Bus Café: 珠江帝景苑公交总站
One of the most unique café shop I’ve been to. This café was built in an actual double decker bus, located at an actual terminal bus station!
Newz café: 顺德区陈村镇勒竹更美路13号
You might need a car to get to this café shop. It’s on the outskirts of the city, but they transformed the whole house into a cute space, with home furniture that still displays like a house.
Wonderful days: 海珠区黄埔古村
Also another café shop that’s a little bit outside of the city. I visited during Xmas so the whole place had Xmas decorations, super festive!
Lai Hui (来回): 广州市天河南一路84号101
Did you ever visit a café that has tree trunks inside a café?! This one sure did and it created such an “earthy” atmosphere. (p.s their earl grey cake was super good)
Hay Coffee: 翘怡一街43号，天河北，天河区
A casual vibey coffee shop, with Andy Warhol in the background, and indie music – definitely a vibe, and a good place to catch up with friends/do work.
Park 10: 中三山路33号中华广场10楼
This may not exactly be a café but more so a bar. But a super cool one! It’s all outdoors with a huge projector, to play movies on weekdays. During weekends, there’s a DJ playing music. The most chill and cool bar I’ve ever been to by far. They also have like various combos (drink + snack) for such a reasonable price!
